Keeping your Beagle happy

Keep your puppy occupied with toys, S/he will enjoy soft toys while young to help with the growing stages, teaching them to kill play and for chewing while teeth are coming through, also saving any unwanted chewing of "shoes and furniture"

As they get older plastic and rope toys will be much more appreciated especially while the teething and adolescent stages set in, dogs are puppies up to about 18 month of age, but will enjoy playing with toys for most of their life.

Chew's will help prevent boredom and keep your dogs teeth and gums healthy, offer a good choice of chews, raw hide, pigs ears, biscuit shapes and denta stix.

A good diet of quality complete biscuits and dog meat is essential to keep your Beagle healthy and encourage good growth including bones and teeth.

Keeping you puppy safe when you cannot watch him/her is essential, a reasonable sized play pen or creat is a good way of keeping him/her safe, s/he will need room to sleep, play and toilet area (puppies cannot hold themselves as well as adult dogs) also for feeding and water, using a ceramic water bowl is best to prevent spillages

Creates are also useful for safe transportation in the car.

Walks are essential for your Beagle, to begin with short walks to get him/her used to a lead and going out, then slowly increse, by the time your puppy is 9-12 months, s/he should be having 2-3 generous walks a day, this will also prevent boredom.
